The Danville Dans (25-11) beat the Springfield Sliders (6-30) 5-3 but needed 10 innings to do so on Tuesday at Robin Roberts Field.

With the score tied at three, Spencer Herrmann came to the plate and doubled, plating Chet Simoneaux.

Kyle Kapka racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Danville Dans. He homered in the fifth inning.

Jared Burton brought the heat against the Springfield Sliders during his outing. The Springfield Sliders managed just one hit off of Burton, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Zach Wendorf ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
