Tyler Selesky was cold coming off the bench, but Selesky warmed up quickly as Selesky stroked a key pinch-hit single in the five to lead the Danville Dans (4-4) to a 3-1 win over the Springfield Sliders (2-9) on Saturday at Robin Roberts Field.

With the Danville Dans trailing by one, Selesky came to the plate and singled, scoring Justin Stawychny.

Matt Brandys looked sharp on the mound. The Springfield Sliders managed just two hits off of Brandys, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Springfield Sliders' Ridge Ackerman dominated the Danville Dans' batters, giving up three runs and striking out seven.

Ackerman couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Springfield Sliders, taking a loss.
