The West Virginia Miners (4-5) trailed by one in the ninth, but the West Virginia Miners recovered thanks to a key single in the eleventh inning from Vince Bartolone to pull out a 5-3 win in 11 innings over the Lorain County Ironmen (4-4) at The Pipe Yard on Thursday.

With the score tied at two, Bartolone came to the plate and singled, scoring Cameron Balough and Zach Woolcock.

Bartolone racked up two RBIs on one hit for the West Virginia Miners. He singled in the eleventh inning.

The West Virginia Miners held off the Lorain County Ironmen, as the Lorain County Ironmen were unable to overcome a three-run eleventh inning deficit.

The Lorain County Ironmen scored one run in the eleventh on an RBI double by Nate Langhals. Still, the Lorain County Ironmen couldn't draw even.

Jordan Pemble recorded his first win of the year for the West Virginia Miners. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Zach Beaver was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
