Sam Tidaback went 2-4, helping the Lake Erie Monarchs (4-9) to a 2-1 victory over the Xenia Scouts (3-10) on Thursday at Ned Skeldon Stadium.
He singled in the first and sixth innings.Michael Dolloff picked up the win for the Lake Erie Monarchs. Dolloff pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out two.
Despite the loss, the Xenia Scouts' Adam Collier dominated the Lake Erie Monarchs' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.
Collier ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
