Connor Huesers went 2-4, sparking the Lower Columbia (34-14) to a 7-2 victory over the Chemeketa (21-22) on Saturday.

Chase Heslep's six strikeouts were enough to push the Lower Columbia past the Chemeketa. The Lower Columbia's pitcher tossed four innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.

Austin Guzzon was effective even in defeat, mowing down nine the Lower Columbia batters and allowing three runs.

Garrett Mills had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first innings and doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Guzzon couldn't get it done on the mound for the Chemeketa, taking a loss.
