Seafth Howe held the Joliet Slammers (14-22) scoreless for six innings to boost the Rockford Aviators (9-26) to a 2-0 victory.

Howe struck out four and allowed no walks and two hits.

Matt Greener went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Rockford Aviators. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.

Matt Dillon was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
