The Rockford Aviators (5-19) and the Lake Erie Crushers (10-15) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Rockford Aviators that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-2 win at Aviator Stadium.

Matt Greener put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Rockford Aviators. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Trevor Harden kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Lake Erie Crushers batters. Harden allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over six innings.

Russell Moldenhauer had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Matt Rein (2-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
