The Rochester Honkers (4-2) didn't stand a chance on Friday, as the Mankato MoonDogs (2-5) captured a blowout 12-2 win at Franklin Rogers Park.
The Mankato MoonDogs scored four runs in the fourth on a groundout by Brandon Jackson, a wild pitch, and a two-run single by Zach Zehner.
Hibraim Cordova racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Mankato MoonDogs. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.
The Rochester Honkers couldn't get anything going as long as Cameron Giannini was on the mound. Giannini gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
Bryan Bonnell recorded his first win of the year for the Mankato MoonDogs. He allowed two runs over five innings. Bonnell struck out seven, walked three and gave up eight hits.
Jordan Milbrath was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked four and struck out none.
