Shawn Sanford hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Sanford tossed eight scoreless innings to carry the Washington Wild Things (11-6) to an 8-0 victory over the Frontier Greys (7-10) at CONSOL Energy Park.

The Washington Wild Things blew out the Frontier Greys thanks to 15 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Washington Wild Things scored four runs in the fifth on an RBI double by Jovan Rosa, an RBI single by Jim Vahalik, and a two-run single by Maxx Garrett.

Rosa racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Washington Wild Things.

Matt Costello (0-1) took the loss for the Frontier Greys. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
