The Schaumburg Boomers need extra frames to finish the Washington Wild Things, win 3-2

The Schaumburg Boomers (2-0) took home a marathon 3-2 victory over the Washington Wild Things (0-1) on Friday at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium.

With the score tied at two in the eleventh inning, Bobby Martin came to the plate and singled, bringing home Chad Mozingo.

Mozingo put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the third and eleventh innings.

Danny Jimenez baffled the Washington Wild Things, striking out seven batters. Jimenez allowed two earned runs on four hits and no walks over six innings.

Jose Rodriguez recorded his first win of the year for the Schaumburg Boomers. Rodriguez struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Anthony Collazo (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
