The Sherrill Silversmiths (0-2) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Syracuse JR Chiefs (2-1), and the Sherrill Silversmiths lost 6-5 to the Syracuse JR Chiefs after falling behind by five runs in the fourth inning.
The Sherrill Silversmiths scored on a sacrifice fly by Max Nagelsmith in the fifth inning and an RBI double by Matthew Ederle, an RBI single by Blaze Tom, and in the sixth inning. Despite their efforts, the Sherrill Silversmiths couldn't get over the hump.
Alex Caruso went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Syracuse JR Chiefs. He singled in the second and fourth innings.
Tom was solid at the plate for the Sherrill Silversmiths. Tom went 2-3 and scored two runs.
Even though Billy Kosachook allowed five runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Kosachook struck out none, walked none and gave up seven hits.
Josh Griffith (0-1) took the loss for the Sherrill Silversmiths. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
