The Sugar Land Skeeters hang on against the York Revolution, 6-5

The York Revolution (17-15) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Sugar Land Skeeters (26-5) on Tuesday, as the York Revolution fell 6-5 at Sovereign Bank Stadium after falling behind by six runs in the sixth inning.

The York Revolution scored on an RBI single by Edward Paredes and an RBI single by Paredes in the sixth inning and an RBI single by Cody Johnson and a two-run double by James Shanks in the eighth inning. Still, the York Revolution couldn't catch the Sugar Land Skeeters.

Dustin Martin racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He homered in the first inning.

Shanks racked up two RBIs on two hits for the York Revolution.

Scott Elarton improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Corey Thurman (2-5) took the loss for the York Revolution. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
