An ace performance by Matt Wright lifted the Sugar Land Skeeters (25-5) to a 2-1 win over the Bridgeport Bluefish (13-17) on Sunday at Constellation Field, Sugar Land.

Wright kept the Bridgeport Bluefish off the board during his eight innings of work. Wright allowed two hits, no walks and struck out three.

Dominic Ramos helped the Sugar Land Skeeters pull ahead for the duration in the ninth inning. Koby Clemens to get on base in the ninth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Michael Rockett.

Roy Corcoran got the win, running his season record to 4-0. He allowed one run over one inning. Corcoran struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Adam Carr (2-2) took the loss for the Bridgeport Bluefish. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
