The York Revolution survive the Long Island Ducks rally, escape with 7-6 victory

The Long Island Ducks (8-18) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the York Revolution (14-13), and the Long Island Ducks lost 7-6 to the York Revolution after falling behind by five runs in the second inning.

The Long Island Ducks scored on a solo home run by Joash Brodin in the fourth inning and an RBI single by Rian Kiniry, an RBI single by Gabe Suarez, an RBI single by Dan Lyons, an RBI single by Danny Perales, and a single by Adam Bailey in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Long Island Ducks couldn't get over the hump.

Andy Marte got on base three times in the game for the York Revolution. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Brodin led the Long Island Ducks' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

Corey Thurman improved to 2-4 on the year by picking up the win for the York Revolution. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Matt Way was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
