Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Somerset Patriots (15-6) outscored the Long Island Ducks (6-15) 10-9.

Ralph Henriquez helped the Somerset Patriots take the lead for good in the eighth inning. Ray Navarrete was hit by a pitch to get on base in the eighth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Ben Broussard.
It was a good day at the plate for the Somerset Patriots' Jake Fox. Fox went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the second and ninth innings.
Jason Lowey improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Somerset Patriots. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Leo Rosales ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
