Both the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (30-15) and the Torrington Titans (19-25) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Marthas Vineyard Sharks that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-4 win at Fuessenich Park.

Davidson Peguero racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

The Torrington Titans couldn't get anything going so long as Nick Miceli was on the hill. Miceli held the Torrington Titans hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

John Cook improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered eight hits.

Chris Hatfield ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
