The Pittsfield Suns (12-14) built an early lead against the Torrington Titans (10-16), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 5-1 win on Thursday at Wahconah Park.

John Kinne racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

The Torrington Titans had no answer for Harrison Paige, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Torrington Titans managed just three hits off of Paige, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Jim Topps got on base three times in the game for the Torrington Titans. He singled in the first and third innings.

Mike Gibbons (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
