The Torrington Titans (10-12) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-4 to the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (7-13) on Thursday.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs took the lead in the eighth inning on an RBI single by Todd Ezold.

Nate Pajka went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He singled in the second and sixth innings.

Michael Yerina put together a nice outing. The Torrington Titans managed just two hits off of the the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Hunter Engelhart couldn't get it done on the bump for the Torrington Titans, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
