Tyler McVicar hit two home runs to carry the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (3-6) to a 12-3 win over the Torrington Titans (3-6) at Doyle Field.
The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs scored three runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. A home run by Jamill Moquete and a solo home run by McVicar helped the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs score five runs in the fourth. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs had four hits in the inning.
Connor McKay racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Torrington Titans. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Nick Filloramo improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered six hits.
Mike Gibbons was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs were sparked by Moquete and McVicar, who teamed up for seven hits and eight RBIs.
