The Walnut Creek Crawdads beat the San Francisco Seagulls (0-3) 8-5 on Saturday at Fairmont Field behind Nikko Saenz, who went 2-4.

He singled in the seventh inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

The San Francisco Seagulls had no answer for Austin Lee, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The San Francisco Seagulls managed just two hits off of the the Walnut Creek Crawdads' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Robert Silky brought the heat against the Walnut Creek Crawdads during his outing. The Walnut Creek Crawdads managed just two hits off of Silky, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his five innings of work.

JD Doran got the win for the Walnut Creek Crawdads. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Zach Bell (0-1) took the loss for the San Francisco Seagulls. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked one and struck out three.
