Early lead not enough for the Alameda Blacksox, drop 3-2 decision to the South Bay Storm

The Alameda Blacksox built an early edge on Wednesday, but the South Bay Storm (16-26) roared back to steal a 3-2 victory at College of Alameda.

The South Bay Storm took the lead in the eighth inning on a two-run double by Pablo Hernandez.

Gordon Madej had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and third innings and singled in the ninth inning.

Tyler Lanham pitched lights out for the South Bay Storm. Lanham held the Alameda Blacksox hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

J. Dea did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Alameda Blacksox, reaching base four times. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

A.J. Strom improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the South Bay Storm. Strom struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.
