The El Paso Diablos (41-42) and the Grand Prairie AirHogs (46-40) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the El Paso Diablos capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-2 win at QuikTrip Park.

The El Paso Diablos staved off the Grand Prairie AirHogs as the Grand Prairie AirHogs were unable to match the El Paso Diablos down the stretch.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs scored on an RBI single by John Alonso in the fourth inning and in the fifth inning. Still, the Grand Prairie AirHogs couldn't draw even.

Daniel Nelson had a hot bat for the El Paso Diablos. Nelson went 2-3 and scored one run. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Luis Chirinos improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the El Paso Diablos. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Chirinos struck out three, walked three and gave up 10 hits.

Josh Strawn (6-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
