The Wareham Gatemen (4-0) and the Bourne Braves (2-3) exchanged the lead seven times on Tuesday, but the Wareham Gatemen ended up on top with an 8-6 win over the Bourne Braves.

Mott Hyde racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Wareham Gatemen. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the ninth innings.

Clay Chapman had an impressive outing against the Bourne Braves' lineup. Chapman gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Colby Suggs improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wareham Gatemen. Suggs struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.

Hawtin Buchanan was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
