Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Nashua Silver Knights (1-0) outscored the Brockton Rox (0-1) 11-9.

The teams totaled 32 hits in the game.

The Nashua Silver Knights staved off the Brockton Rox as the Brockton Rox were unable to match the Nashua Silver Knights down the stretch.

The Brockton Rox scored on an RBI single by Tanner Reibenspies in the fifth inning, an RBI single by Joe Gallub and an RBI double by Nick Colucci in the sixth inning, an RBI single by Greg Baggett in the seventh inning, and , a two-run error, , an RBI single by Mike Lupia, and a single by Rob McCunney in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Brockton Rox couldn't finish the comeback.

Chris Shaw had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Nick Poore got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. Poore struck out six, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Michael Romano (0-1) took the loss for the Brockton Rox. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The Nashua Silver Knights' Pat Devlin, Connor Lyons and Shaw combined for six hits and five RBIs.
