Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Okotoks Dawgs (1-3) and the Medicine Hat Mavericks (3-1), as the two teams put up 20 runs combined in a 12-8 the Okotoks Dawgs win.

The teams totaled 26 hits in the game.

Jordan Procyshen racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

CJ DeDeaux racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He homered in the ninth inning.

Even though Bret Derooy allowed six runs over 6 2/3 innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Derooy struck out four, walked two and gave up nine hits.

Billy Martin (0-1) took the loss for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.
