GARRETT SCHAEDE brought home the go-ahead run to give the Tulsa Braves (2-1) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Tulsa Braves hung on to beat the Valley Center Diamond Dawgs (1-2) 7-4 on Saturday.
After TAYLOR ALSPAUGH tripled, SCHAEDE came to the plate with zero outs in the sixth and singled, scoring ALSPAUGH.ALSPAUGH racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Tulsa Braves. He singled in the first inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the seventh inning.
Matt Lambert was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Tulsa Braves batters and allowing three runs.
JAKE FISHER improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Tulsa Braves. He allowed three runs over six innings. FISHER struck out four, walked two and gave up six hits.
Lambert (0-1) took the loss for the Valley Center Diamond Dawgs.
