The San Luis Obispo Blues' Dale comes through in the clutch, upends the Wichita Prospects, 6-5

Keegan Dale brought home the winning run to give the San Luis Obispo Blues (1-0) the lead in the seventh inning, as the San Luis Obispo Blues hung on to beat the Wichita Prospects (0-1) 6-5 on Tuesday.

After Tanner Witt singled, Dale came to the plate with the score tied at three, and singled, bringing home Witt.

The San Luis Obispo Blues staved off the Wichita Prospects as the Wichita Prospects were unable to match the San Luis Obispo Blues down the stretch.

The Wichita Prospects scored two runs in the ninth on an error and an RBI single by D.J. McClure. Unfortunately, the Wichita Prospects weren't able to take the lead back.

The Wichita Prospects couldn't get anything going as long as Will Cox was pitching. The Wichita Prospects managed just three hits off of the the San Luis Obispo Blues' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Chad Girodo got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Tevin Parks (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
