The Katy Collegians (0-1) had a tough outing on Monday, as the El Dorado Broncos (1-0) dominated in a 14-2 win at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The El Dorado Broncos scored six runs in the eighth on an RBI triple by Brayon Colley, an RBI single by Chris Godinez, , an RBI single by Chuck Duarte, an error, and a fielder's choice.

Godinez racked up five RBIs on three hits for the El Dorado Broncos.

Dakota McKaskle picked up the win for the El Dorado Broncos. McKaskle allowed two earned runs, four hits and five walks while striking out two over seven innings of work.

Tyler Sturges ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked three and struck out four.
