Jay Calhoun kept the Chugiak Chinooks (7-6) off the board during his 6 2/3 innings of work and the Matsu Miners (5-10) beat the Chugiak Chinooks, 5-0.

Calhoun struck out three and allowed one walk and five hits.

Bill Cullen racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Matsu Miners. He homered in the second inning.

Kelby Deerman (1-1) took the loss for the Chugiak Chinooks. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
