Diaz was a dual player for the LSU Shreveport Pilots. On the mound he started 11 games and appeared once out of the bullpen…was 4-3, 3.20 ERA…tossed 50.2 innings allowing 41 hits, 31 runs, 18 earned, 17 walks, and struck out 32…opponents hit .218 against him.

He played right field early on and hit .357 collecting 35 hits in 98 at-bats with six doubles, two triples, one homer and 14 runs batted in..hit .310 in RRAC games collecting nine hits in 29 at-bats with one homer and drove in seven runs..collected a season-high of three hits against LSU Alexandria on Feb. 9 and drove in three runs against Jarvis Christian on April 26.
