A freshman at Oregon State in 2015, Elliott hit .258 (24-93) in 36 games, with a homer and 13 RBIs. He broke into the starting lineup 2/3 of the way through the season.
Elliott played for the Cowlitz Black Bears in 2014 following his senior season at Clackamas, when he was the Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year. He was drafted by Washington in the 32nd round but did not sign. He hit .190 (15-79) in 25 games at Cowlitz, with four RBIs.
He was the 2014 Three Rivers League Player of the Year and a 6A all-state selection. His father, Chuck, is a former major-league pitcher.
