Kalusa, a native of Elgin, Illinois, became the 26th honorable mention All-American in Indiana Tech baseball history, starting in all 58 of Indiana Tech's contests in 2014, leading the team in most offensive categories. He hit .400 with 88 hits, 13 doubles, six triples and six home runs. His 88 hits and 62 runs scored both broke Indiana Tech single-season records and were the 10th and 17th best totals in the NAIA. He drove in 50 runs and collected 131 total bases in 2014 with a .595 slugging percentage and a .470 on-base percentage. He also set a single-season mark with 30 stolen bases. In just two seasons, Kalusa amassed 153 hits, 10 triples and 43 stolen bases, all Indiana Tech career records.
