Flores, 25, will serve as a utility infielder/outfielder for the Grizzlies in 2013. The Venezuela native has seven years of experience in professional baseball, all coming with the San Francisco Giants organization from 2006-2012.
Flores reached Double-A Richmond in 2011 and 2012, appearing in a combined 81 games. The 5-11 175-pound switch-hitter is a career .273 hitter in 484 games with 100 extra base hits and 199 RBI.
“Jose will be able to play multiple positions for us and help us out in a bunch of areas,” Warren remarked. “He has experience at a high level and has consistently put up solid numbers in the minors. We are excited to have him on our side.”
