The St. Charles, IL native played three years of baseball at North Central College in Naperville. His senior season was a good one as Corrigan led the team in doubles (13), RBI (33) and total bases (73). Corrigan also hit .356 with six homers in 2011. In conference play he had a perfect fielding percentage and hit a team-best .361.

His sophomore and junior seasons were just as impressive. In 2009 he hit .338 with six doubles and five home runs. He led the team with 34 RBI and was second on team in total bases with 68. Corrigan was named to the All-CCIW (College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) Second Team and ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association) All-Region Team.

Corrigan flashed the leather in 2010 as he was an ABCA Second Team All-Region Selection and Gold Glove Award winner. Not only that but he earned the CCIW player of the year award thanks to a .406 batting average, 14 doubles, seven home runs, 42 runs scored and 67 RBI. Corrigan finished with a fielding percentage of .980 in 245 chances during his junior campaign.
