As a freshman at the University of Virginia, Lewicki made nine appearances while only allowing one run in 9.1 innings pitched. In his senior season at St. Joseph’s Regional High School in New Jersey, Lewick recorded a 6-3 record with a 2.00 earned run average. This past spring, Lewicki went 4-3 with a 3.82 ERA in 16 appearances (13 starts) for the Cavaliers. His season was highlighted by a seven scoreless inning performance against the #1 team in the nation, Florida St., in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) tournament.
