Brad Stone comes to the Grizzlies after spending the first five years of his professional career in the Florida Marlins organization. Stone, who is a St. Louis native, reached as high as Triple-A on two occasions, spending parts of 2009 and 2010 with the New Orleans Zephrys. Prior to being selected in the 12th round in the 2006 draft by the Marlins, Stone played his collegiate baseball at Quincy College (Ill). The local CBC High School product was also drafted in the 31st round of the 2005 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros (did not sign).
