McLenna hit .398 during the regular season, collecting 44 RBIs and eight home runs in the spring. McLenna had a successful freshman campaign at the plate for Odessa. The right-handed hitter posted 59 RBIs, a .413 on-base percentage, and a .330 batting average. McLenna also had a .887 fielding percentage in 2018. The 6-2 infielder is currently hitting .429 as a sophomore with a .484 on-base percentage and a .675 slugging percentage. McLenna has knocked in 24 runs and stolen 13 bases. The Austin, Texas native attended Hyde Park High School where he was an All-District athlete and helped the team win a district title.
