  • 2018 will be Beeler's first season with the Skeeters, first in the Atlantic League and eighth in professional baseball 

  • Did not make an appearance with a professional baseball organization last season 

  • Last pitched in 2016 at the Triple-A level with the Chicago Cubs' affiliate and went 2-0 with a 4.15 ERA in eight appearances (8.2 IP) 

  • Made his major league debut on June 28, 2014 with the Cubs. In five starts between the 2014-15 seasons with the Cubs, he went 0-3 with a 6.05 ERA, recording 13 strikeouts and 14 walks 

  • Best MiLB season came in 2014 with Triple-A Iowa (Cubs): 9-6, 3.40 ERA, 20 G, 20 GS, 124.1 IP, 32 BB, 83 K

  • Was drafted by the Cubs in the 41st round of the 2010 MLB Draft out of Oral Roberts

  • Underwent Tommy John surgery while at Oral Roberts 

  • Also selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 37th round of the 2008 MLB Draft out of Jenks High School (Jenks, Okla.) 

  • Played at Seminole State College before attending Oral Roberts 

  • Beeler's brother, Chase, played center in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers
