The Laconia Muskrats (15-22) and the New Bedford Bay Sox (22-14) passed the lead back and forth four times on Monday at Paul Walsh Field, but in the end the Laconia Muskrats pulled out an 8-3 win over the New Bedford Bay Sox.
Joe Torres racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Laconia Muskrats. He singled in the fourth and eighth innings.
Mathew Aldrich's 11 strikeouts were enough to push the Laconia Muskrats past the New Bedford Bay Sox. Aldrich allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk over 7 2/3 innings.
Alex Baldock was solid at the plate for the New Bedford Bay Sox. Baldock went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.
Frank Vilacha was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
