The Hawaii Stars (3-2) outlasted the Maui Na Koa Ikaika (2-3) on Thursday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 6-4 win.

Brenden Davis put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Hawaii Stars. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Paul Jinkens pitched lights out for the Hawaii Stars. The Maui Na Koa Ikaika managed just one hit off of Jinkens, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Matt Walker ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just eight innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
