An excellent effort by Chad Blackwell hoisted the Maui Na Koa Ikaika (12-10) to a 2-0 win in seven innings over the Hawaii Stars on Friday at Wong Stadium.
The Maui Na Koa Ikaika's Blackwell kept the Hawaii Stars (10-12) off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up three.
Andrew Miller was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
