An impressive effort by Dustin Crenshaw spurred the Sonoma County Grapes (18-29) to an 8-1 win over the San Rafael Pacifics (31-22) on Saturday at Albert Park.
Crenshaw picked up the win for the Sonoma County Grapes. Crenshaw pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out seven.
The Sonoma County Grapes left no doubt in the outcome with three runs in the ninth.
Mark Micowski was hot from the plate for the Sonoma County Grapes. Micowski went 3-5 and scored three runs. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.
Jesse Garcia was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Sonoma County Grapes batters and allowing two runs.
Garcia was charged with his second loss of the year.
