The San Rafael Pacifics (31-20) beat the Sonoma County Grapes (16-29) 4-1 on Wednesday at Albert Park behind Johnny Woodard, who went 1-3 and hit a home run.

Tyler Pearson kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven the Sonoma County Grapes batters. Pearson allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk over eight innings.

The San Rafael Pacifics couldn't get anything going so long as Vinny Pacchetti was on the hill. Pacchetti held the San Rafael Pacifics hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Matthew Gibbs ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
