Jose M Sanchez brought home the winning run to give the Maui Na Koa Ikaika (13-12) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Maui Na Koa Ikaika hung on to beat the San Rafael Pacifics (15-10) 5-2 on Tuesday.

Gered Mochizuki singled to start the seventh. He then went from first to second. Finally, M Sanchez came to the plate with the score tied at two, and singled, scoring Mochizuki.

Jessie Smith's six strikeouts helped the Maui Na Koa Ikaika to the victory. Smith allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings.

Jesse Garcia ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
