The Sonoma County Grapes (8-13) shut the door early on the San Rafael Pacifics (13-8), capturing a 13-5 victory on Thursday at Albert Park.

The game was decided quickly as the Sonoma County Grapes exerted their will early with eight runs in the first three innings.

A solo home run by DJ Dixon, , an RBI single by Colin Bryan, an RBI single by Bryan, and an RBI single by Mark Micowski during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Sonoma County Grapes.

Dixon put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Sonoma County Grapes.

The Sonoma County Grapes relied on Ross Pomerantz to eat up innings en route to the win. Pomerantz pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and four walks while striking out five.

Chase Fontaine racked up two RBIs on one hit for the San Rafael Pacifics. He homered in the ninth inning.

Andrew Pevsner ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
