Will Wright brought home the winning run to give the San Rafael Pacifics (9-6) the lead in the sixth inning, as the San Rafael Pacifics hung on to beat the Hawaii Stars (8-7) 8-3 on Wednesday.
Maikel Jova singled to start the sixth. He then went from first to third on a single by Chase Fontaine. Finally, Wright came to the plate with the score tied at two, and singled, scoring Jova.Fontaine racked up two RBIs on two hits for the San Rafael Pacifics. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth innings.
Tyler Topp picked up the win for the San Rafael Pacifics. Topp pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks while striking out five.
Arnoldo Ponce racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Hawaii Stars. He homered in the fourth innings.
Andrew Miller was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
