The 12 Angry Men top the Top Gun behind Fredricks' 3 hits, 18-12

Mike Fredricks hit two home runs to carry the 12 Angry Men (5-3) to an 18-12 win over the Top Gun (2-6) at Heckerstate Park in five innings.

Fredricks racked up six RBIs on three hits for the 12 Angry Men. He singled in the third inning and homered in the first and fifth innings.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 30 runs and 37 hits, including zero extra base hits.

The 12 Angry Men blew out the Top Gun thanks to 25 hits, including zero extra base hits. The 12 Angry Men scored seven runs in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Jamie Pitrelli, an RBI single by Toby Poveromo, a two-run double by Alby Schweigert, a three-run home run by Fredricks, and an RBI single by Juan Cruz.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with nine lead changes.

Bill Cascarella recorded his first win for the 12 Angry Men even though he allowed 12 runs over five innings. Cascarella struck out none, walked three and gave up 12 hits.

Tom Williamson was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 18 runs in five innings, walked two and struck out one.

The 12 Angry Men easily handled the Top Gun pitching as seven hitters combined for 21 hits, 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
