Mitch Elliott drove in the go-ahead run to give the Will County CrackerJacks (11-6) the lead in the ninth inning, as the Will County CrackerJacks hung on to beat the Chicago Zephyrs (4-14) 4-3 on Saturday.
Landon Lucansky singled to start the ninth. He then went from second to third on a groundout by Andrew Johnson. Finally, Elliott came to the plate with the score tied at three, and singled, plating Lucansky.The Chicago Zephyrs had no answer for Anthony Ciango, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Ciango gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his three innings of work.
