Luis Noel kept the McAllen Thunder (27-45) off the board during his six innings of work and the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (40-31) beat the McAllen Thunder, 7-0.

Noel allowed one hit, four walks and struck out six.

The Rio Grande Valley Whitewings blew out the McAllen Thunder thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. A two-run home run by Leivi Ventura helped the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings score two runs in the ninth. The Rio Grande Valley Whitewings had two hits in the inning.

Jeff Sakowski was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
