Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the McAllen Thunder (25-40) outscored the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings (35-29) 10-9.

The teams totaled 22 hits in the game.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to seven lead changes in the game.

The McAllen Thunder finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning. An error scored Craig Hertler and gave the McAllen Thunder the lead for good.

Gianison Rosa reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the third inning.

Kurt Houck improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the McAllen Thunder. He allowed one run over one inning. Houck struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Ricardo Estevez (0-2) took the loss for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
